Planning a trip into London? You’ll need to know these new rules by Mandeep Rai

As you may have heard from Saturday 17 October, London is locking down into Tier 2. This bring the alert for London to high rather than medium as the Covid cases rapidly increase in the capital.

For those of you who are planning a trip into London, we’ve put together a handy guide of what you’ll need to do and be aware of.

- You won’t be able to meet indoors with people outside of your household. This means you can’t pop round to someone’s house for a cuppa and catch up! Just to confuse things a little (a popular trait of this Tory govt!), you can still meet people outside of your household in the great outdoors as long as you stick to the social distancing rules

- You can eat out with at restaurants, cafes etc with members of your household only. You must wear a mask and ensure you stick to social distancing rules. The 10pm curfew still applies to the hospitality industry but they are still able to offer a takeaway service after this time.

Happy travels and stay safe! Remember that it is now legal for police to issue large fines if they think you’ll breaching these rules so please stay cautious!
