 No shows at bars and restaurants have always been an annoyance in the hospitality industry, but never as much as now. Due to Covid, we now need to book tables otherwise it is near enough impossible to get a seat at a bar or restaurant.  However, staff around Whitstable and Herne Bay in Kent have told us that the number of no show bookings they get seem to be increasing! 

The Twelve Taps in Whitstable recently revealed that a special booking they have made after a request from a booking had meant they turned away 2 potential tables. However the booked table for a no show. This loss of revenue especially when so many places are having to already reduce capacity is a blow for the industry. We must do better and support our small local businesses!
